So, my daughter will be 17 days old in the next few hours. I'm lying here wide awake at 5:30am after one of her many early morning events (just a feed, no bait change), whilst she and her mum have already gone straight back to sleep.
I've already started posting stuff daily on Facebook about her. In fact, I'm having to limit myself to one post a day on Facebook just so I don't annoy people by clogging up their newsfeeds with pictures/stories of her. That being said I've had enough of my family, friends and colleagues tell me how much they enjoy the things I have been posting that I am definitely going to continue posting there.
This blog is something my parents suggested I could do as well. It gives me scope to write longer posts, and make a more journal-like record of Lucy's life. In years to come she can look back and read this blog, and she'll think to herself "Wow, my dad was one witty and entertaining blogger. No wonder he has millions of people following it now, and has been able to retire on the money he makes from various endorsement deals from major brand names who want to be associated with this blog about me." Aim high, I say.
So, with that in mind, I will finish this first blog post here and see how we go forward with this. I'll be learning to blog, as well as leaning how to dad.
